Skills Development and Vocational Training Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe yesterday said nobody could enter an army camp without obtaining prior permission.
Addressing a press conference at the Department of Government Information, the minister said that there were procedures to be followed when someone entered an army camp.
“The position or the status of the visitor does not matter. It is mandatory to obtain prior permission to visit an army camp,” the minister said commenting on a group of more than 50 persons including TNA and Opposition Leader R Sampanthan, TNA MPs S Srithran, MA Sumanthiran forcibly entering an army camp in Paravipachchan in Kilinochchi on April 16.
