“My Wife Told me not to go Against the President but my Fight is Against Executive Presidency not him”-Rajitha Senaratne

Parliamentarian Dr. Rajitha Senaratne has said that the Executive Presidency was the cause for the start and the end of the war.

Speaking at a special media briefing, Dr. Senaratne stated that the Executive Presidency had also been the cause for several problems within the country including the the JVP insurrection.

“My wife told me not to go against the President. But I said that my fight was not against him, but the Executive Presidency. We will take steps to rectify the problems brought by the 18th Amendment. I Know we will be criticized, targeted for mud slinging and sometimes even killed. But we have to do this,” he said.
