UNP MP S.M.Marikkar yesterday said, no Sri Lankan should apply for US visa until the US government revoked its decision to prevent the Army Commander Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva and his family members from visiting that country.
Addressing the media at the Opposition leader’s office, Marikkar said the people should protest until the US government revoked its decision, which he said was not against Shavendra Silva, but the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army.
Hence the patriotic Sri Lankans should refrain from applying for US visa until the US government changed its decision, he said.
