Police investigations have revealed that millionaire businessman and Mabole resident arrested for his alleged links to the proscribed Islamic extremist terrorist outfit National Thowheed Jamaath (NTJ) is the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) organiser for Wattala.

It was also revealed that the suspect Mohamed Rizwan maintained close links with drug lord Makandure Madush now in custody while the latter was hiding in Dubai.

The police believe that Rizwan was an accomplice of Madush.

According to police, the suspect became immensely rich overnight.

The investigations have also revealed that Rizwan owns three modern houses with a fleet of 16 luxury vehicles and other properties.

Before becoming a millionaire, he had worked as a three wheeler driver in Wattala.

Rizwan was arrested by the Western Province Intelligence Unit on suspicion that he had close links with NTJ
