UNP Colombo District MP Mujibur Rahuman told a group of journalists at the lobby of parliamentary committee room that UNP Colombo District MP Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe who was relieved of his cabinet portfolios will be sacked from the party as well and lose his MP post too.

He said that vacancy caused by Rajapakshe will be filled by Ms.Rosy Senanayake.

“He will be sacked from the party too. He has breached the principle of collective responsibility of the Cabinet by going public against the party’s Working Committee stand points. There is enough evidence. A disciplinary committee will be appointed and as per the evidence he will be removed from the party. He will lose the seat. Of course he can go before courts against it.”

Asked who would be brought into replace the parliamentary vacancy of Minister Rajapakshe, the MP said: “Most probably it will be Rosy Senanayake. She is the next in line.”
