The United National Party (UNP) Working Committee and Parliamentary group yesterday unanimously adopted a no-confidence Resolution against Justice and Buddhasasana Minister Wijeydasa Rajapakshe.

The five-point resolution submitted by parliamentarian Ashu Marasinghe contained the following allegations against Justice and Buddhasasana Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe:

1. The Ministers behaviour had brought disrepute to the United National Party

2. That there is a prolonged delay in hearing of certain criminal cases
3. That the Minister had failed to bring in new laws to sufficiently tackle bribery and corruption
4. That the Minister had failed to bring in laws that would allow criminally accrued moment to be given back
5. That the Minister had failed in his duties as Justice Minister
