The Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) has lodged a complaint with the Human Rights Commission against the warrant issued for the arrest of its Chief, Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera.

The BBS warns that Gnanasara Thera could be assassinated in a manner……similar to that of the underworld bigwig Samayan, who was killed by a group clad in Police uniforms.

Jaburewela Chandarathana Thera stressed that Gnanasara Thera could also be assassinated while in prison.
He added the Police officers, who rushed to arrest Gnanasara Thera last Saturday, were drunk and did not possess an arrest warrant.

“Samayan was killed by underworld gangsters clad in Police garb. How can we be sure that the Police officers who come to arrest the Thera are from the Police Department.

They can abduct and assassinate the Thera,” added Chandarathana Thera.
