According to certain media reporting the People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) candidate for the Kurunegala District and former President, Mahinda Rajapaksa, addressing the inaugural UPFA rally in Anuradhapura yesterday, lambasted United National Party Leader Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe for reversing the development trend that was pursued by the previous regime! The former President, who took to the stage claiming as the Prime Ministerial candidate for the UPFA, said that the current good governance government led by the United National Party (UNP), has in just six months reversed the development process in the country that was initiated by the previous regime.

That is obvious. The purpose of the interim government or the hundred day’s revolutionary regime was to reverse the dangerous development path pursued by the fascistic regime of Mahinda. This was in addition to the change of Constitution and steps to curb rampant corruption left behind by the fascistic rulers. At Anuradhapura Mahinda screamed “Look at what Ranil Wickremesinghe and the current government have done to all the development projects initiated during my tenure? They have been brought to a complete standstill. If in a short period of just six months they can undo all the progress we made in four years, imagine the damage they will do if they are given five years to govern the island?” The former President added that 58,000 rural development projects had been stopped by the current government.

Multifaceted corruption

All these projects were earmarked for corruption. Hundreds of such development works have collapsed in many areas leaving poor villages helpless. Interim revolutionary regime had to stop scrounging village level fascistic elements, and save millions of rupees going to waste. Re-planning and reallocation of funds through legitimate contract procedures were vital for real developments to take place. There was a delay due to the sabotage activities of Mahinda’s fascistic machine spread throughout the country.
Money robbed from state coffers through corruption and theft was utilized for such anti progress activities. While engaging in anti people activities, Rajapaksa accused Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe of orchestrating the controversial Central Bank Bond Issue. In this context it was hilarious for Mahinda to claim “The Island’s largest financial fraud was perpetrated soon after Ranil Wickremesinghe became Prime Minister this year. Over Rs 50 billion was pilfered through the Bond scam. All those who called me and my government thieves should look at themselves in the mirror.” Most certainly, in the coming elections all will be placed naked before people and crime and punishment will be dealt with accordingly.

Idiotic statement

According to the report, Rajapaksa has said that the peace the country regained in 2009 existed no more; citing as an example the atrocious rape-murder that took place recently in Jaffna. What an idiotic statement. The revise has been proved by that incident. People came out into streets showing the disgust making use of military free, democratic space available. At the same time police brilliantly handled the situation with out batten- charge or gunfire. Over the world, people witnessed that Jaffna is free of military suppression and people had power to show disgust to social vermin and the Police had to protect the suspects from mass anger with much effort. Mahinda has shown his idiocy and fascistic mind set by claiming “We were able to free this country from terrorism.

Not even six months have passed since the UNP came into power the North is in total chaos. Some have even said that the LTTE rule is preferable to the situation that prevails in the North today.” Thanks to the open statements of the Northern Chief Minister, the world community is well aware of the actual situation prevailing in the North. All Tamils know the true value of fox tears shed by ex President, fascistic Mahinda.

Destroyer

The former President went on to say that the PM was to blame for bowing his head to the LTTE leader in 2001 instead of defeating the terrorist organization. He has screamed “Do you all remember how the current Prime Minister betrayed the country in 2001? Do you remember how his actions made our Military Intelligence Officers fall prey to the LTTE?” Of course we do. We do remember the magnanimous step taken by Ranil, with the backing of Chandrika, to arrive at a peaceful solution. Based on the teachings of the Buddha-Meththa, Karuna, Muditha, and Upekka- Ranil daringly signed a peace agreement with the most ferocious guerrilla organization the world has seen. Prabhakaran reciprocated by renouncing separation for internal self determination, and sending ISGA proposal for united work.

We supported and look towards peace and friendship. But you, fascistic Mahinda, hissing, burning fire, ganged up with your hooligan friends Weerawansa, Dinesh and others went around the country spreading hatred across Sinhala villages. Unfortunately, Lanka came under your Mara campaign based on Raga, Devesha and Moha and we missed a magnificent occasion to save our motherland from war and foreign intervention. Country was swept in blood and tears of people of this country. You got the opportunity to sell our motherland; with your help foreign dominated development programmes landed in this country.
Mahinda, the man who has no shame has asked “Do you know that so far the Prime Minister has had over 800 people interrogated? They are being interrogated for the sole reason of having worked for my government. Some have been interrogated at gunpoint. Is this good governance?” Nice to hear that the PM has done that much to get the truth out of the unrepentant fascistic betrayer of our motherland.

Please shut up and wait for the next few weeks, because others may not be as gentlemanly as the PM!
