The on going anti-Muslim violence instigated by the ethno religious fascist outfit Bodhu Bala Sena has resulted in a Tamil Security guard at a Muslim owned poultry and livestock farm being brutally murdered by a gang of armed goons claiming to represent Sinhala Buddhists of Sri Lanka.

A gang of intoxicated armed men invaded during night the farm owned by a Muslim entrepreneur Hijasin Mustapha(31) in Henegama falling under the jurisdiction of the Matugama Police.

The gang of robbers masquerading as Buddhist patriots began robbing the fowls and goats kept at the farm and also some farm equipment.

They also torched the farm.

When the two security guards called “watchers” tried to do their duty of protecting the farm the marauders stabbed them. One of the watchers was a Tamil and the other a Sinhala.The gang claimed that they were from the Bodhu Bala Sena and boasted that they would demonstrate their power.

Initially both security guards were assaulted and stabbed by the goons but when it was found that one of them was a Tamil the assailants became enraged.

The 58 year old Tamil watcher was beaten brutally and whipped cruelly with belts and heavy ropes.He sustained serious injuries in addition to the stab injuries.

Both watchers were later admitted to the wettewe hospital but the Tamil man succumbed to his injuries.
