On the 08th of January 2014, at approximately 8.45 p.m., 11.40 p.m. and 5.00 a.m. stones were hurled into the premises of the pastor of the Assemblies of God Church, in Nalle, Gampaha by a group of unidentified persons.

On previous occasions in the past, the pastor had been questioned on the legality of the church by the police and Buddhist monks.

At a recent incident the pastor had stated to the Buddhist monks and the villagers that the church will not discontinue its religious worship activities. Since then almost every day stones have been hurled at the premises.
The pastor lodged a complaint with the area police station (police complaint number CIB 2280/484).

Stones were hurled even whilst two police officers have been providing protection for the premises.

The perpetrators have not been identified and the pastor faces continuous attack.
