(Text of a Press Release Issued by the Ahila Ilangai Tamil Mahasabha)

The Akhila Ilankai Tamil United Front was inaugurated in December 2005. It received the recognition of the Commissioner of Elections of Sri Lanka in February 2006.

The Party launched a website in July 2007, all contents being in English.

The Party changed its name to Akhila Ilankai Tamil Mahasabha and this change was approved by the Commissioner of Elections on 30 September 2013.

The website of the Party has now been relaunched in October 2013 with its new name. It can be accessed by www.tamilmahasabha.com or by its original address www.tamilunitedfront.com

A new feature in the website is the answers given by Vishnu Gupta to questions from our viewers/readers. The questions may be asked in English or Tamil. Any question in English will be translated into Tamil. All answers will be in Tamil.
