Sri Lankan Scholar Madulugiriye Wijerathne Honoured with Award in Tamil Nadu for Propagation of Buddhism Through Tamil

The famed Tamil Language scholar and Tamil Pandit Madulugiriye Wijerathne was honoured with the Buddha’s Light Award for the monumental contribution he has made for the propagation of Buddhism through the Tamil Language.

The coveted Buddha’s Light Award is presented by the Chennai Chapter of the Buddha’s Light International Association affiliated to the United Nations Organization’s Economic and Social Council.The presentation of the award was held at the International Buddhist Conference Hall in Chennai, Tamil Nadu recently.
