He looked forward to continued guidance from Sri Lanka\u2019s leadership in this endeavour,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Modi\u2019s call and the High Commissioner\u2019s subsequent meeting, on the eve of Mr. Rajapaksa\u2019s swearing-in ceremony, comes amid persisting opposition from trade unions at the Colombo Port to Indian involvement in developing a terminal there.
