I was at the supermarket and saw Madumadhawa walking towards the town with a group of about 50 people from the Minuwangoda bridge end. He was wearing a white sarong and a white shirt. Soon after, people started flooding from the Negombo, Kurunegala and Veyangoda roads,\u201d Chamli had said in the statement.<\/p>\n<p> Meanwhile, Madumadhawa has filed a Fundamental Rights petition to prevent his arrest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a reasonable doubt that the Minuwangoda UC chairman was behind this. Our people had asked for the water bowser of the Urban Council long before the fire spread. But he had not responded to the request of the public.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the police had to intervene and take out the water bowser,\u201d said Chamli.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cI started politics with Vijaya Kumaranatunge and Reggie Ranatunga. They never were racists.
