{"id":59268,"date":"2018-05-18T13:25:27","date_gmt":"2018-05-18T18:25:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dbsjeyaraj.com\/dbsj\/?p=59268"},"modified":"2018-05-18T13:25:27","modified_gmt":"2018-05-18T18:25:27","slug":"official-websites-of-sri-lanka-tourism-ministry-and-consulate-in-indias-kerala-state-hacked-by-group-calling-itself-tamil-eelam-cyber-force","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dbsjeyaraj.com\/dbsj\/?p=59268","title":{"rendered":"Official Websites of Sri Lanka Tourism Ministry and Consulate in India&#8217;s Kerala State Hacked by Group Calling Itself &#8220;Tamil Eelam Cyber Force&#8221;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By<\/p>\n<p>Chaturanga Samarawickrama<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Sinhalese version of the official website of the Ministry of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs and the website of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Honorary Consulate in Kerala were reportedly hacked this evening by an organisation calling itself the \u2018Tamil Eelam Cyber Force\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The website displayed a long message from the Tamil Eelam Cyber Force and also a rolling news feed message which said \u2018Hacked By Tamil Eelam Cyber Force\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>When contacted, Tourism Minister John Amaratunga said he had nothing to do with the site and that there was no one at the Ministry as it was a Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf anything has to be done to the site, we will have to wait till Monday, as I am also out of the ministry right now,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>When Daily Mirror contacted, the Computer Emergency Readiness Team | Co-ordination Centre\u2019s (CERT|CC), the Principal Information Security Engineer Roshan Chandragupta said they had not received any complaint from the ministry regarding the website hack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe did not receive any complaint from the ministry, but only from several other institutions and media personnel.
