{"id":47270,"date":"2016-07-07T11:48:51","date_gmt":"2016-07-07T15:48:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dbsjeyaraj.com\/dbsj\/?p=47270"},"modified":"2016-07-07T11:48:51","modified_gmt":"2016-07-07T15:48:51","slug":"joint-opposition-appoints-shadow-cabinet-of-50-ministers-with-mahinda-as-prime-minister-cum-defence-minister-and-son-namal-as-foreign-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dbsjeyaraj.com\/dbsj\/?p=47270","title":{"rendered":"Joint Opposition Appoints Shadow Cabinet of 50  Ministers with Mahinda as Prime Minister cum Defence Minister and son Namal as Foreign Minister"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Joint Opposition group of MP&#8217;s loyal to Ex &#8211; President Mahinda Rajapaksa  today appointed a shadow cabinet of 50 ministers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The shadow cabinet is led by ex-president and Kurunegala district  MP Mahinda Rajapaksa who has been appointed shadow   Prime Minister and also given  the shadow portfolios of  Defence, Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs. <\/p>\n<p> Dinesh Gunawardane was appointed National Policies and Economic Affairs Minister, while Chamal Rajapaksa was appointed Transport and Aviation Minister.<\/p>\n<p> Namal Rajapaksa has been named Foreign Affairs Minister and  Udaya Gammanpila has been named Minister of Law and Order. <\/p>\n<p>Some of the other appointments to the &#8216;Shadow Cabinet&#8217; were:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Education &#8211; Dullas Alahapperuma<\/p>\n<p>Finance &#8211; Bandula Gunawardana<\/p>\n<p>Local Government and Provincial Council \u2013 Ranjith de Zoysa<\/p>\n<p>Ports and Shipping \u2013 Kumara Welgama<\/p>\n<p>Labour \u2013 Gamini Lokuge<\/p>\n<p>Rural Industries \u2013 S. M.
