A. Sumanthiran says that his party Illankai Tamil Arasu Ka-chchi was &#8220;deliberating&#8221; on what disciplinary action to initiate with regard to Northern Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran\u2019s refusal to go to Canada and raise funds.<\/p>\n<p>The fifty one\u2013year-old MP told The Island yesterday that TNA leader R. Sampanthan and he had been to Canada during the Provincial Council elections and attended a fund raiser with the help of the TNA branch in that country.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We exerted our energies and it was extremely successful. All monies collected there were sent to the Treasurer of our party via the Central Committee. The action taken by Mr. Sampanthan and me helped bring in great financial benefits to our party. It was this that prompted us to request Mr. Wignes-waran to go to Canada and raise funds for the general election.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Asked by The Island whether all in the party should undertake such endeavours the TNA MP said; &#8220;Certainly.
