M Jayaratne, Janaka Bandara Tennekoon, Kamala Ranatunga, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Salinda Dissanayake and John Seneviratne, they further added.<\/p>\n<p> The new members will be appointed to the Central Committee.<\/p>\n<p>A senior party spokesman told the Daily News the President, as the party Chairman, is authorised to appoint 25 members to the party Central Committee.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Party sources added that the list of the newly appointed Central Committee members were sent to the Elections Department yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The new Central Committee will be convened on August 24.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chandrika appointed to SLFP Central Committee<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga has been appointed to the party Central Committee by President Maithripala Sirisena, SLFP sources said.<\/p>\n<p>Former President Kumaratunga is a Patron of the SLFP. However, when contacted, former President Kumaratunga\u2019s Secretary P.
