{"id":39082,"date":"2015-03-01T23:28:27","date_gmt":"2015-03-02T04:28:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dbsjeyaraj.com\/dbsj\/?p=39082"},"modified":"2015-03-01T23:50:29","modified_gmt":"2015-03-02T04:50:29","slug":"itak-urges-govt-to-expedite-measures-regarding-return-of-lands-release-of-political-prisoners-and-issue-of-disappeared-persons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dbsjeyaraj.com\/dbsj\/?p=39082","title":{"rendered":"ITAK Urges Govt to Expedite Measures Regarding Return of Lands , Release of Political Prisoners and Issue of Disappeared Persons."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong><br \/>\nText of First Resolution  passed by the Central Working Committee of the Ilankai Thamil Arasu Katchi (ITAK) on 1st March 2015 in Vavuniya.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dbsjeyaraj.com\/dbsj\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/ITAK9912.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/dbsjeyaraj.com\/dbsj\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/ITAK9912.jpg\" alt=\"ITAK9912\" width=\"100\" height=\"75\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-10422\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Resolution 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On this 1st of March 2015, the Central Working Committee of the Ilankai Thamil Arasu Katchi considering the changed political environment prevailing after regime change in Sri Lanka, resolves to request the government to expedite action in respect of the following matters immediately, in accordance with the promises made at the Presidential elections:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211;          The return of lands;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;          The release of political prisoners; and<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;          Take steps in respect of the disappeared.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Further, we urge the government to resettle, in their own lands, those displaced by the war.
