The President and the Cabinet have acknowledged that her removal was &#8220;illegal&#8221; and &#8220;flawed. <\/p>\n<p>Bandaranayake, who arrived at the Supreme Court, was formally welcomed by Upul Jayasuriya, President of the Sri Lanka Bar Association.<\/p>\n<p>BASL sources said CJ 43 did not need to take oaths before President Maithripala Sirisena as she was removed from office through a flawed impeachment process.<\/p>\n<p>CJ 44 Mohan Peiris has still not handed over her resignation. <\/p>\n<p><em>**************<\/em><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nRe-instated  Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake Likely to  Resign after a Ceremonial Sitting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake who was reinstated today (28) , is expected to resign from her position tomorrow after a ceremonial sitting, making way for a new Chief Justice.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources from Hulftsdorp, Shirani Bandaranayake will have her ceremonial sitting tomorrow morning, two years after her impeachment, at the Supreme Court in Colombo. <\/p>\n<p>President of Sri Lanka Bar Association Upul Jayasuriya told media a short while ago that the CJ informed the BASL that she was planning to officially resign from her duties tomorrow after the ceremonial sitting. <\/p>\n<p>With her resignation, she will be entitled to her pension and other privileges as the former Chief Justice of the country.<\/p>\n<p><em><br \/>\n********************<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Senior Supreme Court Judge K. Sripavan  May be Appointed as Chief Justice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Asian Mirror reliably learns that Justice K.
