{"id":37568,"date":"2015-01-20T22:05:59","date_gmt":"2015-01-21T03:05:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dbsjeyaraj.com\/dbsj\/?p=37568"},"modified":"2015-01-20T22:05:59","modified_gmt":"2015-01-21T03:05:59","slug":"why-is-president-maithripala-sirisena-hesitating-to-take-punitive-action-against-unp-kalutara-dist-mp-palitha-thewarapperuma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dbsjeyaraj.com\/dbsj\/?p=37568","title":{"rendered":"why is President Maithripala Sirisena Hesitating to take  Punitive Action Against UNP Kalutara Dist MP Palitha Thewarapperuma?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>It looks as if President Maithripala Sirisena is afraid to arrest Palitha Thewarapperuma &#8211; the unruly Parliamentarian of the UNP who wreaked havoc in Agalawaththa, Mathugama, a few days ago.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Despite clear video evidence showing how Thewarapperuma made a PS member kneel in public, President Sirisena has decided to buy more time, without arresting the Parliamentarian whose behaviour was utterly despicable.<\/p>\n<p>Police complaints have already been made in this regard, but no concrete action has so far been taken by Police.
