I met his Excellency the President and discussed the matter on the same day and I submitted my resignation on the same day the 24th, and returned to London that evening. My resignation was accepted yesterday. I must say that I very much and deeply appreciate the opportunity that was provided to me by his Excellency the President to serve our country and our people. As I have said in my letter of resignation \u2013 that my unswerving loyalty to his Excellency the President and his family will always remain.
