V. Wigneswaran, a retired Supreme Court judge and Chief Secretary of the Northern Province Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Ramesh. It should be done for the sake of good governance, the court said.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Ramesh has complained of an attempt to unlawfully remove her and a circular according to which pubic servants of the North cannot travel out of the province without the Chief Minister\u2019s permission; public servants cannot communicate with the government without permission from the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n<p>The petitioner Mrs. Ramesh has said that though the chief Minister said those circulars would be revoked he has not done so.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The SC directed the counsel concerned to make sure that the aforesaid circulars were withdrawn officially.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Ramesh has claimed that she was appointed by the President and only he could remove or transfer her.<\/p>\n<p>The case will be called again on July 28, 2014. Counsel Gomin Dayasiri appeared for the petitioner, Mrs. Ramesh.<\/p>\n<p>Counsel K. Kanag Ishavaran P.C. appeared for first respondent C. V. Wignaswaran. Counsel M. A.
