{"id":30372,"date":"2014-06-04T17:05:36","date_gmt":"2014-06-04T21:05:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dbsjeyaraj.com\/dbsj\/?p=30372"},"modified":"2014-06-04T17:05:36","modified_gmt":"2014-06-04T21:05:36","slug":"30-ngos-in-malaysia-led-by-suaram-stage-protest-against-police-for-deporting-three-sri-lankan-tamil-refugees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dbsjeyaraj.com\/dbsj\/?p=30372","title":{"rendered":"30 NGO&#8217;s in Malaysia Led by SUARAM Stage Protest Against Police for Deporting Three Sri Lankan Tamil Refugees."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By<\/p>\n<p>Fabian Cornelius <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PETALING JAYA:<\/strong> About 30 representatives of non-governmental organisations (NGOs), led by Suaram, protested at the police headquarters in Bukit Aman against the deportation of three Sri Lankan Tamil refugees.<\/p>\n<p>Two of the three have United Nations High Commission on Refugee (UNHCR) status while the other\u2019s asylum request is still pending.<\/p>\n<p>At 11.30am, representatives of Suaram and the NGOs marched to the police headquarters to protest against the action taken against the Sri Lankan Tamil refugees.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis protest is to send in a memorandum to Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Khalid Abu Bakar,\u201d said Suaram chairman K.
