T<\/strong>he debut show of Trinity Events \u201cEngeyum Eppothum Raja\u201d is expected to draw thousands to the Rogers Centre on November 3rd.<\/p>\n

Maestro Illayaraja at the Rogers Centre<\/em> <\/p>\n

The first show of its kind within the Tamil Canadian community, \u201cEngeyum Eppothum Raja\u201d highlights the South Indian musical legend Maestro Illayaraja – the show will feature over 100 artists including many popular lead singers and actors.

\n\u201cTravel visas have been confirmed for all artists on the roster and we are excited to announce that rehearsals have commenced in Chennai, in preparation for a massive show\u201d said Kishan Nithy, Spokesperson and Vice President of Trinity Events. \u201cThe anticipation and the excitement of the large North American fan base is evident from the steady rise in ticket sales and interest shown from Halifax to the east and San Francisco to the west\u201d added Mr. Nithy.<\/p>\n

Trinity Events will be setting a new precedence amongst events of this calibre by donating a portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales to local charities and critical health care related projects in Northern Sri Lanka. The donation will be directed towards projects that are being implemented by Canadian Medical and Dental Development Association (CMDDA), a registered charitable organization in Canada. (Charity No: 823467279RR0001). <\/p>\n

\u201cAs we celebrate Tamil music, it is also important to ensure that we do our share in supporting organizations that do great work in improving the lives of others who are in need\u201d said Trinity Group CEO and Founder Dunstan Peter. \u201cWe have requested CMDDA to utilize the donation towards addressing the urgent needs of the internally displaced families originally from Keppapilavu village in Mullaitivu district\u201d. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe would also like to clarify that the date was chosen based on the availability of Rogers Centre and does not interfere with the official Heroes Week\u201d said Mr. Nithy. \u201cWe are also members of this community with the same passion and concern and would not do anything to diminish the sacrifice made by the heroes\u201d.<\/p>\n

Trinity Events is part of Trinity Group, founded by two emerging young professionals from the Tamil Canadian community and has no political affiliation of any kind. Trinity Events is a for-profit company with an aim to promote Tamil Entertainment industry both locally as well from South India.<\/p>\n
