Madush under the influence of Cocaine

Sri Lanka Police reported on Friday that according to blood tests conducted on detained suspects, they were under the influence of cocaine at the time of arrest.

Madush’s party was over Latheef’s retirement!

In a joint investigation done by the Dubai Police and the Sri Lanka Criminal Investigation Department, it has been revealed that the reason behind the super-luxury hotel party organized by Makandure Madush was to mark retirement of STF Chief Senior DIG M. R. Latheef who has been an annoyance for them for a long time.

Diplomatic missions interact to bring Madhush to Lanka

It is reported that the government of Sri Lanka has made an official request to the Dubai administration on Thursday to hand over one of most powerful underworld leaders in South Asia, Makandure Madush to Sri Lanka.

Diplomatic sources say that the official request has been made to Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan on top diplomatic level.

Madush will be Indicted for murder charges in Sri Lanka.

It is said that the Criminal Investigation Department is planning to file a special case in the Sri Lankan courts, expeditiously, against Madush to bring him to island under that circumstances.

Police chiefs and the legal experts of the two countries who held a discussion in this last week have taken the decision.

They have been arrested in Dubai, at present, on consuming cocaine.

The Dubai court can impose a prison sentence of nearly a year on that count.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) stated that the reason for filing a court case is to obtain a court order to bring Madush to Sri Lanka before his imprisonment ends.

He will be imprisoned in a Dubai high security prison, diplomatic sources say.
